A Big Week For The Blog

This past week has been a big week for this little blog (and me!). There has been so much happening and I'm so happy to have so many supportive readers. So, why has this week been big?

1. I gained my first 5 followers via Google Friend Connect. It's no big number, but hey, it's a start! And yes, I'm sure (well, I'm hoping) that there are many other readers that just don't use GFC (I'm that sort of reader). Thanks Haley, Nicole, Bonnie, Megan and Bingo Buttercup Crafts!

2. I changed my whole blog design. You probably noticed, huh? What do you think? I am in love, so I think this one will stick for a while. It looks so much more open, inviting and professional. I spent a long time fiddling beforehand but I never got it right. So I was over the moon to find this awesome design at Leelou Blogs for free. That means that there are probably quite a few other blogs with the same design but I haven't run into any yet.

3. I started a Facebook page and already have a band of supportive and oh-so-kind followers. I love you all! Over at my Facebook page I'll share blog posts, links, photos and exlusive offers.

4. The blog has reached over 100 pageviews just this week. And before I couldn't even wrangle that many visitors per month. And there were 56 pageviews just yesterday! I'm giving the thanks to Facebook and linky parties.

5. For my first time, I have signed up for October Package Pals by Jamie from C.R.A.F.T. My package pal this month is Megan, from Our Pinteresting Family. It's too late for you to sign up now :( but the program is run 4 times a year, so if you're thinking about joiinng next time, see Jamie's blog for all the info.
 6. I started the A Photo A Day challenge by Fat Mum Slim after wanting to play along like forever. I'm sharing my daily updates over on my Sophie At Home Facebook page. It's not too late for you to join up too! See Fat Mum Slim for all the delicious details.

7. This is my fifth post this week. Not too bad, huh? I shared the second instalment on the "Transformation of the Shed" series, which was creating cheap quote art. You can even download the free printables! Then I participated in the "Oh, How Pinteresting!" linky party, where I shared my favourite finds from Pinterest from the past week. Next up, I shared the BIG improvement over at Wattle Cottage with a (very bad) tutorial on how to put up wallpaper. Yesterday, I told you all about how I was joining in the fun and doing the "A Photo A Day challenge" and today I'm sharing about this great, big week!

What about you, how was your week? Did anything exciting or big happen?

  1. Yay for the little guys! Keep up the great work, my dear. I have seriously noticed a drastic increase in my followers as well. Last month I had 2 and now I have 40! As far as exciting news for today- I am now offically 2 weeks away from my due date. And, yesterday I had tons of (what turned out to be false) labor pains. Sooooo, I am expecting to welcome my newest son any day now! woohoo! but, in the meantime, back to crafting. ;) Have a great week, my dear!
